Collecting registration & store payments
When families pay registration (or buy merch) through LeagueWaves, a small 1.25% fee applies on top of standard card processing. By default it's passed to the family at checkout — so your league receives the full amount — or you can choose to absorb it.

Payments run securely through Stripe. Your league connects its own account and gets paid out directly — funds never sit with us.
Merchandise and team-store sales use the same simple rail: set your own markup, and the standard fee applies. No separate commission.
Questions
What counts as an "active player"?
A player on a roster in your current season. Archived players and past seasons don't count — and coaches, staff, crews, and volunteers are never counted at all.
How do I get the nonprofit rate?
Verified 501(c)(3) organizations get nonprofit pricing at every tier. There's a quick verification step inside LeagueWaves.
Do I have to pass the payment fee to families?
No. Passing it through is the default (and the norm in youth sports), but you can choose to absorb it per registration form.
What if my league has 900+ players?
Reach out — we'll put together pricing that fits. Everything under 900 is priced right here so a normal league never has to email us to find out what it costs.
Are there setup fees or contracts?
